Our client, an established high-end beauty / fragrance company, is seeking a 3D Designer / Visual Merchandising Designer to join their team.
This is full time role, joining a small but growing team in a hybrid capacity in NYC (3 days onsite, 2 remote). Please note the interview process will include a design assessment.
As a Visual Merchandiser you will play a crucial role in increasing the impression and appeal of products by developing and executing engaging creative concepts for merchandising as well as print advertising, digital campaign, and promotions. A large portion of the work will be creating 3D renders for luxury brands within the fragrance world.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design appealing and eye-catching concepts (designs, visuals, plans, 3D renderings)
- Work within brand guidelines for 8-11 brands at any given time
- Develop production ready files for a variety of needs
- Manage multiple projects and details in a fast-paced environment without losing attention to detail (graphic design layout, typography, print specifications, manufacturing specifications, materials, dimensions, assembly, feasibility)
- Consult brand guidelines and archival files to ensure the overall aesthetic and design consistency is maintained
- Implement, negotiate, and liaise with suppliers to oversee the production, identify and source props, fabrics, hardware as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience with 3D Rendering and visual merchandising
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and 3D design software (3D Studio Max / VRAY or similar)
- Knowledge of the fragrance and beauty industry (market, visual merchandising trends and best practices)
- The ability to think critically and develop creative adaptations based on concepts following brands guidelines
- Visual/Spatial awareness, strong attention to design, color and style
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and creative environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
