Sr Project Leader, Hydrotherapy, Wellness Products

Opportunity

As a member of a New Product Development project team:

• Lead product development teams to launch innovative new products and improve the quality, performance or cost of existing products in alignment with the Wellness Products Strategy & Product Roadmap.
• Project Planning and Scheduling - develop detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and budgets
• Team coordination and leadership - lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
• Budget and Resource management - Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
• Risk Management - Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Stakeholder communication - Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Provide regular updates to senior management and other relevant parties
• Define and facilitate decision-making process for development teams. Coach project team personnel to develop and implement cross-functional solutions to complex issues.

Specific Responsibilities

Project Management:

• Lead regional and global projects of moderate-to-high complexity, risk and business impact.
• Set clear project objectives, deliverables, and milestones
• Assign tasks, track progress, and resolve issues or conflicts as they arise
• Track expenditures and course correct the team to make any necessary adjustments to stay within the planned budget
• Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project life cycle
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and timelines

Leadership

• Facilitate workshops across the development process ranging from Kickoff Intent, Design Insight, Design for Environment and Lean Product Development.
• Provide structure and leadership for solving technically complex design and business problems.
• Mentor other project leaders and team members of other functional areas.
• Willing and successful in taking moderate risk.
• Work effectively when organizational structure or processes are unclear or conflicting.
• Lead brainstorming discussions
• Identify opportunities for organizational and process change.
• Able to facilitate & resolve conflict and problem solving.

Decision-making

• Make decisions with moderate levels of ambiguity.
• Choose appropriate action and alternatives with rationale that is consistent with facts, constraints, and predicted consequences.
• Take independent action with insight into global and regional business impact.
• Willing to speak up and raise concern in global and regional settings.

The newly created Wellness Products business has been charged with becoming the premier Mind & Body Wellness provider for at home and professional spa sanctuaries. The objective of this business is to not only grow an already wellness-centric product portfolio, but also create a clearly differentiated go to market strategy with a tailored angle to captivate the target audience with unforgettable showroom and digital destinations. Applicants must be passionate about wellness and having expertise in the ever-growing market is a plus! Given the start up nature of this business, applicants must possess a bias for action, an ability to continually assess with openness to pivoting

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a product development related discipline (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, or Design) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in concurrent product development (project management, product design, process engineering or manufacturing engineering).
• Global product development experience is preferred but not required.
• Some travel to suppliers or manufacturing locations, estimated at 10-15% and can be flexible, managed on a case by case basis
