We are looking for a highly skilled Expert Cloud Systems Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multiple cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function in the Cloud. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery. Responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the Program Manager and Chief Architect to ensure smooth program execution, strong team building, defending work share and growing scope.
  • Responsible for providing technical leadership to multidisciplinary design teams in the design, development, fielding, and support of the system.
  • Represent the technical team to project managers, PTLs, functions and executive leadership.
  • Responsible for developing the overall technical solution for a product or system.
  • Decision authority between the System Architect and entire engineering team and is responsible for developing the overall technical solution for the system.
  • Influences the design, development, test, and verification.
  • Responsible for identifying and communicating technical risks and opportunities between the design team, system architect and program management team.
  • Ensures design to Cost is part of the overall solution. Performs as the technical POC to the customer in support of the PM and PTL.
Performs system design, technical performance, and other system needs, provide technical stewardship of the engineering effort for the entire program ensuring the solution meets customer programmatic and technical requirements within the allocated engineering cost and schedule


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
We are actively seeking to fill multiple positions within this Job category with candidates that have a minimum of 16 years' relevant experience. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in in applied sciences, engineering, computer science, or business management.
  • Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph
  • 16 years' experience in support of a government customer
  • 16 years of technology development experience
  • Experience developing and overseeing implementation of technology investment plans in support of modernization and technology advancement strategies
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps in support of technology modernization planning
  • Experience managing technology development programs/projects to achieve cost, schedule, and technical performance expectations
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders across the organization to achieve technology development and program strategic objectives
  • Lead and oversee a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud, on premise, and hybrid services, infrastructure and security domains
  • Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
  • Solid engineering rigor
  • Ability to accurately solution and document complex infrastructures, System level integration and test of systems and subsystems
  • System verification and validation
  • Definition of system specifications, design, integration approach, and hardware/software compatibility
  • Preparation, installation, and maintenance of system components
  • Post-install and post-upgrade system analysis and reporting
  • Creation and updates of technical documentation
  • Virtualization experience (VDI & VMWare)
  • Significant AWS Cloud experience
  • Agile software development life cycle


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Integration of virtualized applications and application streaming or layering techniques
  • Developing integration interface across JAVA, .NET, C++ and similar platforms
  • Familiarity with Digital Model Based Engineering (MBSE)


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
