The Senior Associate Director, Above Brand Solutions Marketing (SR AD, ABSM) will be responsible for conceiving, designing, and driving the Above Brand Solutions (ABS) Solutions strategy, plan and execution for both payor and health systems (organized customers). The incumbent will ensure the above brand solutions value proposition enables the payor and health system teams to deliver the customer experience each of these teams are trying to deliver. This role will develop of all ABS tools and resources that can create the best customer experience and value. These solutions should be designed in such a way that will fit with both the customer needs and the TA specific strategies.
The SR AD, ABSM will manage the agency of record for above brand to enable Boehringer to maximize and lead all the programs that reach across TAs (e.g., Strategies for Chronic Care, Sales Advisory team, Advisory board planning and execution etc.) that provides the platforms for TA focused teams for both the payor and health system marketing. The individual will also lead the roll out of all tools, resources, programs, and campaigns to the account-based field teams focused on payor customers and health system customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
- Responsible for delivering 'Above Brand' Solutions (ABS) Strategy and associated initiatives/ materials.
- Ensures effective project management of all Above Brand Communication and Initiatives collaborating with brand marketing, GAPP, Quality, HEOR, PAR, Sales, Value & Access, OCC, stakeholder relations etc.
- Manages the agency of record so that they are inspired and enabled to produce the best work while staying within budget.
- Reaches across TAs and Organized Customers to gain alignment for how above brand strategy and initiatives fits in with the customer experience and offerings Boehringer aspires to create while creating opportunities to drive brand and Boehringer priorities.
- Responsible to create, maintain and report insights via an Above Brand Metric Dashboard.
Above Brand Solutions (ABS) Development:
- Accountable for the development of all elements and metrics for the ABS solutions with oversight from the Executive Director.
- Ensures deep customer insights underpin the ABS resources and are designed for use across personal and non-personal channels enabling future omnichannel capabilities.
- Designs new solutions with a focus on usability/ desired customer experience while updating current materials. Some examples of current resources that needs timely updates are the Corporate Collaboration Deck, InFocus - 3 programs (speaker training, budget allocation, creating new modules, updating current modules), Invision, Instep/Motivational Interviewing, Triple Aim Compendium or Best Practice Sharing (new), Veeva Playbook, Strategies for Chronic Care website, TOC decks, Patient Engagement/Adherence Platform (new), MLR/Veeva Vault work.
Customer Experience:
- Responsible under oversight of the Executive Director, for driving the CX initiatives for both Payor and Health System Customers starting with role of ABS in creating meaningful experiences.
- Collaborates with the TA focused teams and V&A Marketing teams on combining ABS and branded/unbranded solutions to create the best CX at the different stages of the customer journey.
- Develops deep customer insights through execution of advisory boards, commissioning Primary & Secondary market research, sales advisory teams and field insights.
- Summarizes, translates, and shares insights available to field teams to maximize impact.
- Shares CX best practices early and across teams.
- Supports design and execute above brand congress strategy/plans for HS and payor focused congresses or other engagement opportunities with customers with the objective of driving customer experience.
- Stays current with CX Trends and how it impacts our approach to Payor and Health System Customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in pharmaceutical industry (including external agency partners)
- Two (2) years or more of brand or functional marketing required.
- Three (3) years of more of Organized customer (i.e., payor/health system) facing accountability and experience (i.e., Account Management or similar) required.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of the current health care delivery ecosystem including distribution channels for pharmaceutical products, health systems, payors, and government entities/policy.
- Previous people leadership experience preferred, with demonstrated leadership without authority skills.
- Additional experience serving as a formal or informal mentor preferred.
- Experience working directly with digital partners to develop and execute initiatives strongly preferred (e.g., LinkedIn, Google, third party media providers, social media community platforms, etc.)
- Experience in guiding and integrating digital analytics and driving metrics-based optimization strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to access and influence various functional areas, and motivate groups to action through team building.
- Demonstrated high energy level, positive attitude, output driven, and team oriented.
- Demonstrated strong ability to lead and manage projects to achieve objectives in a highly matrixed organization.
- History of successful performance.
- Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for all Marketing competencies.
- Demonstrates behaviors in line with current Boehringer corporate objectives (Our Behaviors).
- Proficiency in MSOffice suite, Outlook.
- Ability to travel domestically (may include overnight travel).
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
