Our client, a well-known CPG company, is looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager to join their team. This is a full-time and fully onsite position in Fairfield, CT.
This is a highly collaborative role!
Responsibilities:
-Create, Lead, and Execute social media objectives for each platform against key brand initiatives
-Strengthens our client's presence by increasing brand awareness using relevant & meaningful content for each platform
-Brings tactics to life under the goals and initiatives and ensures we are executing against the role of each platform; continuously evaluates each role and proposes recommendations as needed
-Ensures tone, visuals, and copy are aligned with clients brand persona
-Research, create, and lead new channel strategy and presence where needed
-Manage content strategy creation: this includes sourcing visuals, identifying creative needs, works closely with the brand team and design associate as needed, helping create photos on the fly, copywriting across all platforms, and providing final approval for social line-up.
-Lead monthly meetings ensuring lessons learned and areas of opportunity are highlighted and then actioned against
-Continuously evaluates what is working and what is not, can easily pivot
-Aware of topical/real-time trends and activates accordingly
-Works closely to align and activate against key company initiatives
-Creates and executes a robust full-year organic campaign plan to align with overall content pillars and key product initiatives Paid and Organic
-Provides input and direction on paid social ads
-Co-owns community management, works closely with the Social Media Marketing Assistant
-Active daily monitoring, listening, mining insights, engages, and fosters relationships
-Supports and oversees daily engagement efforts
-Supports the on-demand nature of the channel with after hours, weekends, and holiday coverage required
-Leads strategic vision for content and co-owns creation
-Leads influencer outreach, brand ambassador curation& secures UGC
-Owns, initiates and manages partnerships with other brands that align with or compliment our clients brand
-Leads Crisis Management is the primary point of contact, quickly raises concerns or potential problems, proposes recommendations to mitigate and helps resolve issues
-Active daily analysis of platforms and performance against KPIs to identify whats working and makes recommendations for future content.
-Uses real-time insights to foster meaningful and relevant audience engagement, reach, and growth. Can pivot as needed to optimize performance.
-Are comfortable and proactive sharing findings within a large setting and to Sr. Management.
-Experience with paid social media, oversees campaign goals, copy, creative, and ROAS
Qualifications:
-Available after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to manage critical issues should they arise.
-Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, media, or PR
-Experience with social monitoring/ listening/engagement tools necessary (Sprout Social, Hoot Suite, META Business Suite, Google Analytics)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and social and mobile platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube)
-Organic and Paid social media experience strongly preferred
-Strong presentation skills; is comfortable and confident working with and presenting to senior management
-Creative thinking: sees the big picture and can pivot as needed to support the overarching goal and initiatives
-Analytical thinking: strong experience gathering and reporting against KPIs, is able to execute actionable insights to optimize performance.
-Passionate about social media and marketing, has a pulse on industry trends and new opportunities
-Confident but approachable, is a collaborative team player, and can get a team excited about your ideas
-Is a strategic thought partner but can also delve into the day-to-day execution tasks
-Exceptional time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can easily multi-task and is flexible and nimble to support the various areas within social media
-Mentor and guide the Social Media Marketing Assistant, providing direction, feedback, and support as needed while celebrating success and fostering career growth
-Experience managing social media for a brand and can work within brand guidelines and exemplifies visual identity and tone
-4+ years prior work experience in social media
