Job Description
The selected candidate will support BAE Systems Installation and Certification Branch in the administration of all functions of an Alteration Installation Team supporting Air Traffic Control and Combat System Installations managed by Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF).

We are looking for an experienced project manager to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This results-oriented leader will have a disciplined project manager skill set, strong structural/mechanical/electrical acumen, an experienced driving cross organizational issues and projects to resolution. You will be a primary liaison between the customer and various subcontractors.

Primary responsibilities will be performing/managing the following task:
  • Navy Modernization Processes for upgrading Air Traffic Control and Combat Systems on board US Navy ships.
  • Collaborate with Regional Maintenance and Modernization Control Offices (RMMCO) in support of shipboard installations.
  • Review Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), conduct ship checks/site surveys, and write/submit Liaison Action Records for all discrepancies found during SID/site surveys/ship checks.
  • Manage on-site resources between BAE and subcontractor personnel during the installation.
  • Interface with various government, contractor, shipyard, and navy personnel to efficiently resolve on-site issues and minimize workforce delays and disruptions.
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. there is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in the Chesapeake, VA area or be willing to relocate.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience or High School diploma and at least 8 years of experience
  • Extensive experience in supporting US Navy modernization and managing structural/mechanical/electrical AITs
  • Ability to recruit, select, train, manage, motivate, and mentor fellow employees
  • Familiarity of NAVSEA Technical Specifications (9090-310Series, NMP MOM, JFMM, NAVSEA Standard Items)
  • OSHA-10 Maritime
  • Ability to work on board US Navy ship to include walking up/down ships ladders and be able to climb the mast.



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Familiar with Microsoft Project and Excel
  • Experience with making project level decisions regarding planning, recourse management, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Extensive knowledge of NAVSEA Technical Specifications (9090-310Series, NMP MOM, JFMM, NAVSEA Standard Items)


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
