Scope, Impact & Focus:
The role's scope is to enable NAOU Quality, Safety and Environment (QSE) leadership across all QSE key performance indicators for the entire product portfolio, packaging, manufacturing, distribution and marketplace. The role has direct impact and influence over the OU and through the networked organization to deliver QSE excellence across mid-size to small franchise bottling partner, innovation pipeline, technical governance, and technical operations. Quality, safety, environment, and food safety concerns can lead to product recalls – with high risks for consumer health, Company image and reputation and business performance.
- Provide OU QSE leadership as a subject matter expert in areas of quality, safety, and environment requirements, including leveraging Quality & Food Safety, Occupational Health, and Sustainability subject matter experts to support new technologies, product and package innovation, and people capability within the bottling network. The role has direct impact over the OU QSE performance for one or more large bottling partners and through the networked organization to influence the global QSE strategy.
- Lead accelerated progress of new technologies and innovation, building flexible and competitive alternatives while ensuring quality & food safety quality-by-design (QbD) implementation, assure safety and environmental performance through partnership across the supply chain. In collaboration with Corporate, other OUs and franchise bottlers, influence the OU and regional QSE agenda, KORE compliance and capital investments to drive QSE excellence.
- The QSE Franchise Senior Manager contributes to the global networked organization QSE Innovation pipeline and ensures the OU/regional innovation agenda is in place, drives growth and protects the business.
- Implement a lean and data driven management system based on the E2E QSE strategies, focused on OU commitments, targets and goals, results achievement, through analysis, information, and risk management. Responsible for the compliance of a fit for purpose, risk focused QSE technical governance implementation and results tracking in the OU.
- The QSE Senior Manager partners with each respective Vice President of Franchise Leadership to drive the QSE agenda with our franchise bottling partners, including participation in Franchise Leader routines and annual joint business planning process to ensure QSE KPIs and capital requirements are aligned.

As a trusted solution-oriented business partner, lead the execution of QSE governance and compliance initiatives, manufacturing plant authorizations, drives engagement with the system partners and leads initiative planning across the networked organization to achieve goals.
For the QSE network orchestration, ensure QSE knowledge sharing management routines in place strongly connecting external data across Manufacturing Equipment, New Technologies, Processes and QSE Solutions and New Product Categories Development with internal teams and Operations, driving organizational alignment across franchise bottling partners, other OUs and corporate. Active member, contributor in the global forum as required.
KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS
Work focus
- Ensure manufacturing plant authorization and QSE governance compliance in line with the KORE requirements, technical specifications and all relevant regulations - all global QSE methodology, standards and requirements for product, package and processes, distribution and marketplace
- 50-75% travel expected with priority on in-plant projects, validations, innovation support, and audit verification for compliance.
- Determine technical recommendations & validation processes based on OU / Regional for new technologies and innovation to mitigate security risk for the Operations, supporting categories growth and protecting the business.
- Develop and implement local/regional governance Innovation requirements and risk management
- Provide QSE New Technologies / Innovation technical expertise to all OU TI&SC, Bottling Plants
- Lead a networked team working on New Technologies / Innovation risk identification through data analysis.
- Act as technical expert in troubleshooting / IMCR processes. Ensure lessons learned are captured proactively and shared across Operations.
- Ensure QSE CAP resources and track progress for high/medium New Technologies / Innovation risks in the Operations (GAO audit follow up)
- Execute quality and food safety compliance in place (early warnings from Consumer Contacts, Product Integrity Program, Sensory analytics, Freshness, external product analysis from independent entities/NGOs, food safety warnings etc)
- Accountable for food safety mitigation plan tracking based on OU QSE metrics. Implement local/regional governance requirements and risk management
- Capture and help address all food safety concerns identified through GAO (Global Audit Organization) audits or during technical visits in local Operations (Bottling Operations). Connect with Quality & Food Safety Subject Matter Experts and act properly to mitigate impacts.
- Ensure effective and precise communication and escalation processes to key stakeholders in case of food safety concerns
- Work in partnership with commercialization teams to support Quality-by-Design (QbD) processes – in order to demonstrate compliance to food and quality safety requirements and for post launch learnings.
- Communicate QSE investment plans required to ensure compliance, including analysis of cost, infrastructure, innovations, process/technology developments, strategic partnerships. Close collaboration with key stakeholders such as Technical Operations, PACS, Legal, SRA and franchise system leadership teams. Transform QSE compliance capabilities accordingly.
- Provide business and action oriented QSE compliance reports with relevant reporting materials and identify issues to allow appropriate decision making.
- Implement performance models and systems to track risks and mitigation plans. Ensure Technical Risk Management Framework (TRMF) is in place and connected compliance subjects.
- Work on risk identification through data analysis. Ensure Corporative IT tools are implemented by key stakeholders within Bottling Operations. Provide QSE Technical KPIs for performance tracking (Monthly Scorecard, Quarterly meeting updates, year-end analysis).
- Communicate regional QSE compliance inputs to business plan – including priorities that will protect the business and support volume growth of the Region

Influence and alignment with stakeholders internally and externally, including Global / OU TI&SC leadership, Governance & IMCR and Technical Operations teams, Commercialization teams, Supply Chain partners, System Franchise Bottling partners leadership and Industry stakeholders. QSE concerns can lead to product recalls – with high risks for consumer and Company image reputation.
- Work with internal functions and networks - Close collaboration with key stakeholders such as R&D & innovation, GDI, Scientific Regulatory Affairs, IMCR leads, Finance, PACS, Strategic Security, Legal, Procurement/CEPG, Concentrate Plants, Supply Chain, OU- and franchise system leadership teams.
- Deal with tough situations where other parties have shared interests or opposing interests related to QSE immediate actions, agenda development and implementation plans.
- Think outside-in and is well connected, involve a broader set of stakeholders in decision making.
- Communication, negotiation and engagement with multiple key stakeholders to influence and gain alignment on the short-term operational QSE initiatives
Connect strategically with external networks through direct connections and internal partnerships – strategic connection with suppliers and technology providers for new ideas, benchmarking and to foster innovation.
Experience
- Experience in large-scale transformation programs, change management. Proven successful track record in leading diverse teams to deliver Quality, Safety and Environmental excellence.
- 4-6 years of experience
- University/Bachelor´s degree: Preferred Food Science, Engineering, or related Science field
- Required experience in Food/Beverages Industries.
