The Team
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, External Communications to join American Tower’s External Communications team within Corporate Public Affairs. Day to day you will produce high-quality, engaging storytelling content for our diverse platforms and audience groups, ensuring that it aligns with American Tower’s voice, messaging and business goals. This is a full-time position reporting to the Sr. Director, External Communications.
What You Can Offer Us
- Keep the company narrative and message pillars current to ensure a consistent and clear messaging across our channels and audiences.
- Write articles, blogs and social media posts. This includes but not limited to the company external website, social media (LinkedIn), and other external communication channels within our industry.
- Liaise between the External Communications function and other groups in the organization as the copy editor and reviewing subject-matter-expert for external-facing publications.
- Follow and help refine American Tower’s brand guidelines, standards and team processes with the goal of maximizing results and producing high-quality deliverables.
- Assist with typical, day-to-day tasks, including monitoring and reporting media mentions, responding to media inquiries and internal requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in communications and/or a related discipline required.
- 5 or more years of experience in similar roles in corporate communications, with experience managing multiple projects and tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, including the ability to present your ideas confidently and effectively.
- Knowledge and aptitude to grasp and leverage digital tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with different functional groups and stakeholders as one team.
- Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced industry and effectively navigate organizational transformations while fostering inclusivity and collaboration.
- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
