You're a visual storyteller with a deep understanding of photography and film, driven by a passion for crafting moments that resonate. Equal parts creative and production oversight, this role involves working closely with the Creative Director and Art Directors to take shoots from brief to commissioning, production, post-production, and launch. Your extensive knowledge of photographers, directors, and DPs worldwide, paired with experience commissioning these creatives, makes you adept at bringing ambitious projects to life. With a finger on the pulse of news, culture, and global events, the ideal candidate excels at creating compelling editorial narratives and content strategies.
Qualifications:
- A well-developed aesthetic that connects with journalistic photography and video, and the portfolio to prove it including examples of original commissions that reflect a consistent, A+ taste level and excellent execution
- Expert at shoot commissioning and production, fee negotiation, contracts, and creative direction
- Meticulous budget management
- Knowledge of image rights and legal clearance processes for commissioned content
-Ability to find compelling editorial stories that resonate on a global scale
- A global network of photographers, directors, and DPs Clear and concise communication skills
- Highly collaborative, great to work with on a team, and instinctively understand the value of building great relationships across an organization, from marketing, HI, internal production teams and more.
- Keen ability to create work under minimal supervision, as well as package and present solutions to wider creative teams
Additional Requirements:
- Portfolio showing extraordinary talent in delivering top-tier photo and video
- 10+ years relevant photo editing or multimedia experience; bonus for tours in journalistic magazines, newspapers or online news.
- Flexibility to accommodate travel when needed
- Expert Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
