Job Description:
The Music Business/Management Department within the Professional Education Division at Berklee College of Music is now accepting applications for a part-time faculty position to advance instruction in the areas of business and finance within the department. Instruction to begin immediately (spring 2025).
Responsibilities:
Teach a minimum of two sections of Business Finance, with the ability to teach other business-related courses as needed, including Principles of Accounting, Business Development and Taxation in the Music Industry
Maintain and cultivate professional relationships/network within the business and finance industries
Work with the department in its ongoing review, revision, and development of the Music Business/Management program and curriculum
Hold office hours and advise students in their academic progress as required
Participate in department meetings and other department-sponsored events as needed
Advance the student experience and the work of the Department, the Division, and the College
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in a business or finance field required
Teaching experience required; college or university teaching experience preferred
Demonstrated record of professional experience in the business, finance or tax industry required, with additional experience in the music industry preferred
Strong relationships in the business and/or finance sector
Demonstrated knowledge of general business and finance, with additional expertise in accounting and taxation preferred
Strong command of technology to support and advance the work
Excellent verbal and written and communication skills
