A Brief Overview
Under direction, independently submits bills with complex payor requirements to insurance carriers and supports PFS credentialing activities.
What you will do
- Promptly and accurately follows up on billing denials/CCI Edits; utilizes various tools including websites, payors fatal edit documents and internal denial analytics reports to perform duties; handles all billing duties related to resubmission of claims
- Meets production and quality requirements
- Provides excellent customer service
- Other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least five (5) years experience in Healthcare Billing Required
- At least six (6) years in Healthcare Billing Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent attention to detail, organized and computer skills, professionalism. Good working knowledge of third party insurance and public assistance programs.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) - within 6 months - Required or
- Hospital Business Institute (HBI) Certification - Hospital Business Institute - within 6 months - Required
