Who will you be working with?

You will interact with team members at all levels of the organization. You’ll work most closely with the Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams.

How will you make a difference?

You will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the plant. You will collaborate with a talented team to deliver the best possible result for our customers and stakeholders.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Do you have a minimum (8) years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment?
  • Do you have experience in a process-oriented related industry?
  • Do you have a minimum of (5) years’ experience in advanced production planning and scheduling?
  • Do you have comprehensive knowledge of Material/Inventory control experience using MRP systems?
  • Do you have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or similar discipline or equivalent working experience in production planning and scheduling?
  • Do you have a professional certification by the APICS? (preferred)
  • Do you have experience which includes Microsoft Office applications, database/spreadsheet and MRP software (preferably Oracle)?
  • Do you have experience with modern Lean Manufacturing and production scheduling concepts and practices?
  • Do you have experience with high volume mixed model machining and assembly in a build to order factory?
  • Do you have strong organizational and time-management skills?
  • Do you have outstanding analytical, statistical, and reasoning ability for problem solving?
  • Do you have a Lean/Six Sigma certification? (not required, but would be helpful)
  • Do you have well-developed crisis management and decision-making skills?
  • Do you have a thorough understanding of factory operations and how to optimize materials and resources that deliver the required output within lead-time at the lowest possible cost?
  • Are you a highly motivated, self-starter capable of working and delivering results on your own initiative?
  • Are you able to effectively interface and collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure positive results?

What will your typical day look like?

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with Customer Service, Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments.
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available materials and resources to best serve client or customer needs and promptly respond to changing conditions.
  • You will manage customer service expedite requests.
  • Manage and maintain the forecasting system (Futurecast).
  • Complete and manage Engineering Revision Notice (ERN) for all bar stock raw material, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
  • Employ and communicate build availability planning for production of new and past due requirements with Supply Chain and Production teams.
  • Assess and communicate all capacity planning (Horizontal Plan) with the Production Team.
  • Report on critical capacity and inventory issues impacting production activities
  • Monitor products throughout the production process.
  • Ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of orders which meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, customer service, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with supply chain, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between

$77,400.00-$110,300.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
