Summary
The Foreign Exchange Operations Manager is the leader responsible for the Advisor and Analysts performing daily trading, cover and settlements. This leader will coordinate workflow for FX Operations and interact with internal and external clients. Daily workflow includes pricing trades, completing back office settlements, maintaining sufficient Nostro account balances, FX Loan operational management and associated reconciliation. The role also oversees periodic revenue and regulatory reporting.
The position is located in Memphis, Tennessee at the main office and is primarily in-person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Workflow management for daily trading, cover, and settlement
- Monitor activity in the bank’s foreign currency nostro accounts (position management)
- Communicate with clients and assist with any special handling or indicative pricing
- Work with internal partners to investigate any reconciliation outages
- Manage periodic revenue and regulatory reporting
- Work with Product & System support team for FX system testing and validation
Qualifications
- Four years of banking experience with at least two years exposure to Foreign Exchange
- Analytical skills
- Leadership experience
- High level of attention to detail and ability to explain concepts and transactions
- Initiative, integrity, reliability and ability to meet deadlines
- Client-focused work ethic
- Highly effective and cooperative team player (i.e. an active participant in the workflow)
- Understanding of accounting principles key to foreign exchange risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; preferred International Finance concentration
- The ideal candidate for this role will have completed college level coursework in International Finance and have some experience with Foreign Exchange in a fast-paced work environment that requires detailed communication and interaction with internal and external clients.
