Summary
This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Financial Management. As a Financial Manager (Chief, Office of Financial Management), you will serve as the Chief of the Office of Financial Management and oversee the budget, cost accounting, financial services and financial systems and accounting activities associated with maintaining the financial resources of the Bureau. You will serve as the technical advisor on all financial matters.
Duties
As a Financial Manager (Chief, Office of Financial Management), you will:
- Direct the development, preparation, justification and execution of the Bureau's budget. (Over $3 billion in FY 24)
- Direct the development and execution of the Bureau's capital investment plan.
- Direct the internal and external financial reporting processes, Departmental submissions, monthly cost reports and required financial reporting to the Financial Management Service, the Office, of Management and Budget, etc.
- Oversee the production of BEP's quarterly and annual audited financial statements which are prepared in accordance with Commercial Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as the agency's Annual Report.
- Guide the development of product price proposals to ensure that the Bureau's revolving fund provides the resources needed to fund day-to-day operations, working capital, and planned capital investments.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes performing financial management and managerial functions to support planning and execution of programs.
Examples of such experience could include:
- Maintaining cost methodologies and accounts, and preparing audit and financial reports; OR
- Formulating, justifying, and executing a budget for an agency; OR
- Developing an integrated management control plan which demonstrates experience in identifying the control environment, assessing risk, ensuring management directives are carried out, capturing and communicating information; OR
- Experience monitoring the quality and effectiveness of the internal control systems in place.
