Electrical Instrumentation Automation (EIA) Superintendent
Where will you work: Onsite at our Bartow Facility (3200 Highway 60 West | Bartow, FL 33830)
How will you work: Our superintendents enjoy a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Note: there could be occasional on-call duties.
Join Mosaic as the Superintendent of Maintenance EIA and play a crucial role in our mission to help the world grow the food it needs. In this role, you'll lead the Electrical Instrumentation and Automation department, overseeing both strategic and daily operations. Your responsibilities will include supporting asset integrity programs, collaborating with Reliability Engineering, and managing budgeting, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance. You'll also hire and manage external engineering contractors and firms, and coordinate defect elimination programs. This position is key to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
What you’ll do:
Monitor and direct field and plant EIA operations to execute the shift run plan.
Coordinate with site teams to optimize run plan and tons per hour to plant, capitalizing on downtime opportunities.
Adapt and make sound decisions when the run plan needs modification, communicating changes effectively.
Manage, coach, and oversee Leads and Shift Supervisors, ensuring their responsibilities are carried out (safety and environmental compliance, operational updates, asset utilization, operating hours, Intelex and Maximo entries, call outs, managing the hourly workforce).
Coordinate with the site to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Manage and provide direction for Shift EIA Maintenance/operational activities (nights and weekends), deploying equipment resources as needed.
Facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly operations meetings.
What you’ll need:
High School/GED.
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
8+ years of experience in a related field
3+ years of experience in Plant Maintenance
Experience as a people leader
Electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience
Bonus Points if you have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or technology education
Professional Engineer (PE)
Journeyman Machinist
Experience with Maximo and/or SAP
