Reporting to the Wholesale Payments Head of Payables, the Commercial Card Product Director is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and P&L management of our Commercial Card business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving card payments innovation and growth, managing associated products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and innovation in commercial card payment products across all channels
- Manage and oversee the entire card payment product portfolio, including product strategy, design, development, and management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for all card payment products.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for product development and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, sales, marketing, and legal, to develop and launch new payment products and services.
- Monitor payment industry trends and provide regular updates to the executive team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payment networks, financial institutions, and other partners.
- Manage card payment product pricing, rebates, profitability, and performance metrics.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of card payment products and services and implement necessary improvements.
- Lead a high-performing team of payments professionals, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff members.

Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of product managers and specialists, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Set clear goals, objectives, and performance expectations for the team and regularly evaluate performance against targets.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. 10+ years professional experience with Commercial Card and/or Treasury and Payments
2. Operate as both a leader and a team player, working with solutions team members, solutions sales and relationship management, and functional teams, including bank card operations and technology
3. Detailed knowledge of card industry players and ecosystem, as well as industry networks
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and executive management presence, are critical to success in the role. Outstanding skills presenting/communicating ideas and data to executive-level leaders
5. The candidate should be able to work independently and in multi-dimensional teams equally effectively, be creative, and be a critical thinker
6. Demonstrated experience in managing a varied team of professionals and a proven ability to coach, nurture and develop a team
7. Expert relationship builder; develop open, effective, considerate, and productive working relationships; can “work the matrix” and gain credibility quickly with internal and external constituents. Ability to maneuver complex organizations and internal dynamics
8. High-level of adaptability; respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with change, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures
9. Take high degree of personal ownership; assume responsibility for effectively meeting objectives, intrinsically-motivated to get job done, perform duties in an organized, accurate, and productive fashion, and seek out ways to improve effectiveness
10. History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done


Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
2. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute payment product strategies that drive growth and innovation.
3. Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling, product pricing, and profitability analysis.
4. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to senior executives and communicate complex payment concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
5. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements for payment products.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
7. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payment networks, financial institutions, and other partners.
