Position Overview
We are looking for an Accountant Associate to join our rapidly growing company! As a member of the Texas Roadhouse Accounting Team, this position will be integral in ensuring the accurate and timely accounting for the company's financial statements. With strong attention to detail, effective time management, organizational and communication skills, you will be working closely and providing support across various aspects of the company's finance and operating functions.
Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, including accruals and reclasses, for both P&L and balance sheet
Complete monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
Participate in and initiate fact-finding activities associated with reconciling items
Support Accounting Team with research and ad hoc reporting
Prioritize day-to-day responsibilities to meet deadlines
Partner and communicate with Support Center and Field Roadies on company initiatives
Ability to stay organized in fast-paced, high-volume environment to ensure efficient processing
Participate in process improvement and other special projects as assigned
Assist in pulling supporting documentation for quarterly and annual audit requests
Maintain confidentiality of non-public information (insiders)
Review monthly P&L expenses allocated to store back-office systems
Compile monthly store P&Ls
Develop and implement solutions and efficiencies

Qualifications
Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance or other business-related degree required; however, consideration will be given to candidates with minimum of 60 college credit hours
1-year related Accounting experience preferred
Proficient with Excel and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft D365, PowerBI and Cadency Certification is a plus but not required.
